Summary

On 2 August 2024, during the nationwide anti-quota student movement, Mostak Ahmed, a 25-year-old electrician from Habiganj, Sylhet, was tragically shot while standing with fellow citizens against injustice. Attacked near the Town Hall area, Mostak became a symbol of courage and sacrifice for a generation demanding equality and democracy.

This documentary takes us inside Mostak’s home in Dhonpur village, where his mother, brothers, and relatives share their grief, memories, and pride. Through their voices, we witness the human cost of standing up against oppression, and the courage of ordinary citizens who refused to be silenced.

From the harrowing moment he was gunned down to the community’s collective mourning, Mostak’s story reminds us of the unwavering spirit of the Bangladeshi youth and the sacrifices made for justice, freedom, and democratic renewal.
